Ziingo Women and Children Initiative has been officially granted a permit to operate in Uganda under the Non-Governmental Organisations Act, as certified by the National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organisations. Issued on the 13th of June 2025, under Permit Number INDP0006864NB, this certification authorizes Ziingo to conduct its activities. As an indigenous NGO based at Plot 940 Gadaffi Road, Makerere, Kampala, Ziingo is dedicated to supporting vulnerable women through economic empowerment, livelihood support, and skills training. The organization also advocates for the rights of vulnerable women...especially in relation to healthcare access, protection against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), and the provision of basic necessities to orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs). With permission to operate in both Kampala and Mbale districts, Ziingo remains fully compliant with the NGO Act, Cap. 109, and all relevant laws and regulations, reaffirming its legitimacy and commitment to social impact in Uganda.
